ESRI ArcCatalog 9.3.1.1850 Feature Class Anne Arundel County GIS Division Tests used to check for data inconsistencies include the following: *5% of all fence returned were checked for spatial accuracy and to see if they were attributed properly. Fence data was created for the entire county. The source material coordinates were Maryland State Plane 1983 (NAD1983) with units in feet. The data is considered map accurate to a scale of 1:2,400 (1' = 200") The 2007 planimetrics were updated through the following process: *LocationAge converted the original 2002 planimetrics (.shp files) into AutoCAD DWG files. *LocationAge compared the 2002 planimetrics against the 2007 orthophotography and checked / updated the following: missing features, miscoded features, poorly compiled features, and features that no longer exist. *LocationAge performed Quality control check for identifying missing/mismatch features, positional accuracy, Data completeness and correctness, topology errors for each of the planimetric layers. *LocationAge merged the .DWG files to create a county wide shapefile for each of the planimetric layers. *The .DWG files were then converted back to .SHP files and checked to make sure they were translated properly. *LocationAge then ran an Arc/Info AML that generated errors for mismatched lines between adjacent tiles and changes in line coding between adjacent tiles. Then they corrected these errors. *Ran Arc/Info AML to locate features that didn't match the feature definition table.
