Standard ordering for Planning & Zoning's public maps can be made visiting our Publications/Maps/Information Services Counter on the 4th floor of 2664 Riva Road, Annapolis, MD 21401. For any questions pertaining to public map sales, contact this Map Counter at either (410) 222-7463 or (410) 222-7464. For any questions regarding the data that is displayed on the maps, contact Charlie Abrahamson in Planning & Zoning GIS at (410) 222-7744. Fees: Public maps may be purchased at the Planning & Zoning GIS map desk at 2664 Riva Road, Annapolis, MD on the 4th floor ("Publications/Maps/Information Services Desk.") Their phone number is (410) 222-7463 or 7464. All public paper map prices are as follows: 8 ½ x 11 maps = $5.00; 11 x 17 maps = $6.00; 30 x 40 maps = $40.00; Topographic map 8 ½ x 11 section = $5.00; Entire topographic map sheet = $50.00, Half topographic map = $25.00.
Turnaround times on data requests are contingent upon the extent of the request. A simple reprint of a map or copy of existing data can be completed usually in one to two weeks, depending on the current project load. A more complex request, including new data creation or data updates, can take a few weeks depending again on the amount of work necessary.
Hardcopy maps include 30x40 inches, 11x17 inches, and 8.5x11 inches in size.

Maryland Stateplane NAD83 in Feet is the projection; Map data is accurate to a scale of approximately 1:7200 feet or 1 inch equals 600 feet.
The source material coordinates were Maryland State Plane 1983 (NAD 1983) with units in feet. The data is considered map accurate to a scale of 1:7,200 (one inch equals 600 feet).
From 9/7/2006 to 9/11/2006 this dataset was updated to the as01967f shoreline. This was accomplished by using the "Union" tool with the ae00545f layer and the as01967f layer. The result left many polygons that were either removed from the dataset because they fell outside of the as01967f shoreline or merged into the "IN" or "OUT" categories. Many of the polygons that were merged were small slivers left over from the "Union," some however were larger and were brought to the attention of John Leocha (Long Range Planner). With the larger polygons we assessed whether they were errors carried over from the original PFA layer that could be merged or actual polygons that were left alone. These edits were made by Matthew Webb (GIS Technician).
